Produced in conjunction with our annual Louis I. Kahn Memorial Award + Talk, which this year honors architect Lord Norman Foster on Tuesday, June 9th.

This exhibition traces the design process of the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center, the newest landmark on the Philadelphia skyline. Designed by world renowned London based architects, Foster + Partners for Liberty Property Trust, the tower will rise to 1,121 feet to become the city’s tallest building and stand next to the existing Comcast global headquarters, the Comcast Center. The evolution of the project is brought to life through detailed models, renderings and a timeline of concept sketches by Pritzker prize winning Lord Foster.

The tower is vertically stepped, with loft-like work spaces and state-of-the-art television studios for NBC at the base, and a 12-storey hotel above. At an urban scale, the project is conceived as a welcoming addition to the neighborhood, integrated with its start-up businesses, shops, bars and restaurants.

Opening Reception | Friday, May 29, 2015, 5:30-7:30 PM
