The Art Market at Tyler has turned into something that is so much more than a fine art and craft fair. In three short years they've expanded their show into a powerful collection of artists, organizations, and programming that helps unify and support the Philadelphia art scene. Check out what they have going on this year:

SHOWCASE: The Art Market will showcase the work of over 40 of Philadelphia's finest artists, makers, and craftsmen. Guests can shop for jewelry, hand-dyed scarves and textiles, hand-blown glass, photography, painting, Recycled + Upcycled art, books, ceramics, and a host of other work.

CRAFTS + DRAFTS HAPPY HOUR
FRI OCT 10 | 5PM - 7PM

Temple Alumni can come enjoy free beer from Victory Brewing Company and food provided by Temple University. This is a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and network with new ones.

DEMOS: BLOW YOUR MIND
FRI OCT 10 | 5PM - 7PM

This year's highlight "Blow Your Mind" is a glass demonstration not to be missed, performed by Tyler alumnae Jessica Jane Julius of The Burnt Asphalt Family from 5PM - 7PM in the glass department.

SHOW + TELL | FRI OCT 10 4PM

Successfully Presenting York Work, Your Product, Your Self is a panel discussion that will provide you with some insight and direction in how to present the best version of your work, your product, and yourself. While quality content, work, and experience are key to building a solid reputation in your career, it's your presentation that will get you noticed. Our panelists include the founders of The Heads of State (Jason Kernevich and Dustin Summers), jewelry designer Debra Adelson, and Co-Owner of Art Star Gallery and Boutique Megan Brewster. It will be moderated by Tiffany Tavarez and held inside the Temple Contemproary Gallery.

PLUS:

- Create a Polaroid Transfer or stereoscopic portrait in the portrait studio set up by the Tyler Photography Department.

- Open Studio Tours: See what current Tyler students are working on.

- Empower yourself by learning about other amazing organizations that are doing great things in the Philadelphia art scene.  They all exist to help you grow as an artist.  Check out InLiquid, Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, Fresh Artists, The Hacktory, Haverford Guild of Craftsmen, MamaCita, PaperClips215, Philadelphia Sculpture Gym, and Second State Press.
