SYSTEMS FOR CONSTRUCTION
THE CLAY STUDIO | MORE INFO
SUNDAY AUGUST 3 | 10 AM – 2 PM
This workshop explores a variety of techniques that instructor Dennis Ritter uses in his studio to create complex, hand-built architectural and landscape based forms. Developing these types of systems allows you to work around the limitations of wet clay and to create dynamic geometric and natural forms. The workshop looks at how to develop and use wooden jigs, paper templates, and press molds to create clay sculptures. In addition, you will learn how to use the extruder and slab roller in conjunction with molds and forms.
In this class you can expect a fun crash course on everything you will need to et busy creating with your Arduino. The class covers all the key concepts, from learning the fundamental aspects of programming with the Arduino language, to the different types of materials you can use in your projects and prototypes. The aim for this course is to send participants home with a cool project, a whole bunch of new ideas, and the knowledge and resources to produce some Arduino magic.
