Join AIA Philadelphia's Associate Committee and the Philadelphia Center for Architecture as we celebrate the winning entries from the 8th annual CANstruction design competition and food drive. This year's ceremony features the red-carpet theme of "the aCANemy Awards" - we encourage you to dress the part!

Each year, the AIA Philadelphia Associate Committee invites Philadelphia’s
leading architects, engineers, contractors, design firms and design schools to
participate in this unique effort. CANSTRUCTION® offers our design community the opportunity to publicly exhibit our imagination and creativity while also demonstrating our concern for the less fortunate members of our community. CANSTRUCTION® is organized by young aspiring architects, designers and philanthropists, and through this event the Philadelphia design community can be a catalyst for positive change in our own backyard.

This is a unique opportunity to see this year's structures close up, while enjoying a wonderful event brought to you by the AIA Philadelphia Associate Committee in conjunction with the Center For Architecture.

All proceeds from ticket sales for the event go directly to Philabundance.

AIA Philadelphia Associate Committee

One of the most active committees of the AIA Philadelphia chapter, the Associates assist in the training of young architects and strengthen the link between architectural education and practice. In particular the committee assists those individuals in the Intern Development Program (IDP) and supports an exam preparation refresher course for those preparing to take the Registration Exam. The committee also produces several design competitions and social events throughout the year, including CANstruction, the Sketch Showdown, and Spooktacular (a safe Halloween experience for the Children's Crisis Treatment Center).
