Intercurrences: Intervening Design Strategies Exhibition

Sept 29 – Oct 16, 2016 | Mon-Sat: 10:00am – 6:00pm, Sun: 11:00am – 5:00pm | Ticket Price: Free
In this exhibition, designers synthesize their research and design ideation and apply their knowledge of typology, program, function, form making, planning, human behavior, construction, materials, building systems, acoustics, lighting, and sustainable tactics within the context of home/house and the built environment.

Experience the transformation of Philadelphia from America's 19th century engine of industry to a 21st century capitol of business and culture.

“A Home for Max the Dog” Read + Build Family Workshop (5-8 yo) | 11am-12pm | Ticket Price: $10-15
Featuring a reading of "Look at the Building: A First Book of Structures" (by Scott Ritchie, 2011), your child (with your assistance) will design and build their very own mini home for Max the dog - which they can take with them.

“Animal House” Design + Construct Family Workshop (9-12 yo)| 1-3pm | Ticket Price: $15-20
Children will be challenged to design and construct (with your help) a mini home for an animal of their choosing.

Kids’ Fashion Design | 4:00-6:00pm | Ticket Price: Free
In this workshop we will teach the basics of machine sewing and fashion design all while making a cozy apron. All materials are included and no experience is necessary!
