The PARK(ing) Day PHL After Party is presented by the Center for Architecture and Design and proudly sponsored by Newton Brown Urban Design.

After visiting the 2019 PARK(ing) Day PHL parklets around town, come celebrate public space and public art at our annual PARK(ing) Day After Party! Join us to meet the creative PARK(ing) Day teams and to view the day's creations, snack on food, share drinks, dance to music, and to find out who will win the coveted 2019 Golden Cone Awards.

We'll also feature an interesting presentation by Feet First Philly, a pedestrian advocacy group sponsored by the Clean Air Counil, on issues facing pedestrians in the City of Philadelphia, including ways to improve the pedestrian environment, protect the rights of pedestrians, and encourage walking as a mode of transportation, as well as for exercise and recreation.

While at the party, be sure to check out the new report by Drexul University's Lindy Institute for Urban Innovation on Catalyzing Community Capacity, exploring best practices related to creating equity on our sidewalks, streets, and other public spaces. They'll have a table set up with a few copies of the report to browse while you're enjoying your drinks and snacks.

Tickets are FREE for PARK(ing) Day team members (with code) and only $10 for the general public.

PARK(ing) Day Philadelphia is presented by the Center for Architecture and Design in partnership with the Philadelphia Parking Authority, the Urban Design Committee of AIA Philadelphia, the Community Design Collaborative, + the Charter High School for Architecture + Design

PARK(ing) Day was founded in 2005 by Rebar Group, a San-Francisco-based architecture and design firm, and was first presented in Philadelphia in 2008 by Zimmerman Studio.
