DesignPhiladelphia 2020 Festival
- Kids + Family
Most events are FREE to attend. See specific registration details for each event on the DesignPhiladelphia festival calendar (linked here when available).
DesignPhiladelphia is a 10-day festival presented every October.
The Center for Architecture and Design believes that thoughtful design can inspire and empower people within their local communities. Our DesignPhiladelphia festival, with over 100 public events (most FREE to attend!), highlights Philadelphia as a hub for design excellence, supports economic opportunities for local designers, and demonstrates to the public the impact and power of design and how it can make our city and our lives better. We curate exhibitions, tours, programs, and workshops all over the City of Philadelphia so that locals and visitors alike can see Philadelphia the way that we do – as one of America’s most creative and robust design cities.
Check out the Festival Calendar when it becomes available (late summer) and join us for for as many events as interest you!
Join us on Wednesday, October 7th for our DesignPhiladelphia Kickoff Party! Celebrate with a community of designers, architects, and design-savvy Philadelphians to show our City's love for design. Join us as we take over Cherry Street Pier and kickoff the 16th annual DesignPhiladelpia festival. Installations? Yep. Food and beverage? Uh-huh. Design trendsetters and experimenters? Check. Tickets to the party include light hor d’oeurves and complimentary beverages. If you love design, you’ll love this party.
All proceeds from the Kickoff Party go towards DesignPhiladelphia programming to support its mission is to make Philadelphia a hub for design excellence, support economic opportunities for local designers, and demonstrate to the public the impact of design on our everyday lives.
